1) Victorian Era Lavender Cookies

Ingredients:

a) Take 125 grams of butter

b) Take 2 dl sugar

c) Take 1 tablespoon of dried lavender petals

d) Take 2 dl white flour

e) Take 100 grams of chopped almonds

f) Take a pinch of salt

Recipe for cookies:

a) Mix the lavender petals with the sugar.

b) Then add the other ingredients and form dough. Take the mix and make little balls. After that, round them well and then flatten with the palms.

c) Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Once the desired temperature is attained bake the little balls for approximately 10 – 12 minutes.

d) After cooking them for the adequate, take them out of the oven and let cool. Once cooled, the cookies should be quite hard and crunchy.

2) Victorian Tea Cookies

Ingredients:

a) Take 2 sticks of butter

b) Take 1 cup of sugar

c) Take 3 eggs

d) Take 1 teaspoon of vanilla

e) Take 3 1/2 cups of flour

f) Take 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Recipe:

a) Mix together sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.

b) Take a separate bowl and mix flour and baking powder in it. Then very carefully and gradually blend flour mixture and sugar mixture. Knead together. If the mixture is sticky, add more flour and let it sit for a minute.

c) Then roll the mix into balls and then press with the tines of a fork. Then with the help of a brush, apply egg white over the balls. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately twenty minutes.

3) Victorian Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients:

a) Take 2 1/2 cups of flour

b) Take 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

c) Take 1 1/2 teaspoons of ginger

d) Take 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves

e) Take 1/4 teaspoon of salt

f) Take 1/2 cup of margarine

g) Take 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar

h) Take 1/3 cup of dark corn syrup

i) Take 1 large egg

Recipe:

a) Take a large bowl and sift together flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt in the bowl.

b) Then blend together margarine and brown sugar until smooth. Add corn syrup and egg. Beat the mix well. Then add the dry ingredients, about one-third at a time, mixing until smooth after each addition. Then keep the dough for cooling for around one hour.

c) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

d) Roll out half of dough on lightly floured surface to one-quarter-inch thickness. The cookies can then be cut out in any desired shape and decorated as per ones choice. Keep the cookies for baking for around 15 to 20 minutes until they are golden in color.

e) Then remove the cookies and place on wire racks to cool. Store them in covered container so that they do not get spoilt quickly.
